Lead Counsellor & Community Services Manager

This is a challenging and rewarding leadership opportunity to manage and deliver high-quality counselling services and community programs.

We are seeking an experienced manager with a strong background in social sciences, psychology, or behavioural sciences, who can lead a team of professionals to provide Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) and family counselling services to diverse clients.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in program management, including performance management, governance reporting, and staff development. They will be able to build relationships with stakeholders, facilitate stakeholder meetings, and provide feedback to clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and develop the Family and Community Counselling Service (FCCS) and EAP contracts;
  • Build the organisation's contract and sub-contract profile;
  • Play a key role in reporting to the Department of Social Services and other external contractors;
  • Lead a team of professionals to deliver EAPs to organisations;
  • Support, guide, and manage staff in remote regions;
Requirements:
  • Minimum degree level qualification in Social Sciences, Psychology, or Behavioural Sciences;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in social or community services management;
  • Able to act as an accredited Family and Relationship Counsellor under the Family Law Act (1975);
  • Demonstrated experience in program and team management;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, particularly the Family Law Act;
