Role Overview

An Inclusion Support Educator is a dedicated professional who works collaboratively with early childhood education and care services to ensure equitable access to quality education and care for all children, including those with additional needs.

This role fosters inclusive environments where every child can participate, learn, and thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans for children with additional needs in collaboration with educators, families, and specialists.
  • Provide guidance and support to educators in adopting inclusive practices to ensure meaningful engagement of all children in the learning environment.
  • Sources and utilises specialist equipment and resources to facilitate inclusion, adhering to established guidelines.
  • Promotes understanding and awareness of inclusion within the broader community, advocating for the rights and needs of all children.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in supporting children with additional needs.
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or Certificate III in Education Support.
  • Current First Aid training and CPR Certificate.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Knowledge of EYLF and NQS principles.
  • Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices.
