Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Technical Document Writer to develop comprehensive and precise documentation for mechanical inspections, maintenance instructions, operator routines, and related procedures for mining equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain technical documents such as inspection reports, operation manuals, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with mechanical inspectors, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather, clarify, and organize technical data.
  • Ensure all documentation is accurate, detailed, and compliant with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review and update existing documents to reflect current processes and compliance standards.
  • Incorporate technical illustrations, diagrams, and charts to aid in understanding complex mechanical systems.
  • Maintain version control and manage the document lifecycle to ensure accessibility and compliance.
  • Support training efforts with clear written materials for personnel conducting mechanical inspections.
About You:
  • Experience in technical documentation writing (3 years or more), preferably within the mining or engineering sector.
  • Ability to create isometric graphic drawings for assembling machinery and components.
  • Proficient in computing skills and MS Office software.
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ISO, OSHA) and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong planning & time management skills.
  • Formal qualification in a technical field.
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits.
