Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Property Maintenance Professional to join our facilities management team in Melbourne. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with commercial building maintenance experience to take on a hands-on role, working closely with customers and staff across various facilities.

About the Role

This newly created position plays a vital part in ensuring the highest quality maintenance of our expanding facilities footprint. Reporting directly to the Senior Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for assessing and completing reactive maintenance repairs, as well as coordinating and auditing specialist sub-contractor works.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake regular site visits to identify and troubleshoot maintenance issues and equipment breakdowns
  • Conduct asset audits using industry software platforms to ensure accurate records and compliance
  • Work collaboratively with the property team to develop and implement effective maintenance routines and facilities management strategies
  • Provide input into the development of maintenance and asset lifecycle planning, ensuring seamless operations
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, utilizing the CMMS system to track and manage assets, maintenance schedules, and costs
Requirements
  • A trade qualification and strong experience in commercial building maintenance (preferable)
  • Ability to work autonomously while providing close support to colleagues and customers
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to work safely, adhering to current building safety and compliance requirements
