Payroll Officer Position

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to join our team in Melbourne CBD. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a well-organized payroll process and contributing effectively from the start.

The role requires comprehensive full-function payroll experience, with responsibilities including supporting the payroll team in processing payroll as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Processing fortnightly and monthly AUS & NZ payroll using ELMO software
  • Interpreting relevant awards and enterprise bargaining agreements
  • Managing high-volume payroll processing
  • Updating and maintaining accurate payroll records
  • Handling terminations and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations
  • Maintaining leave, sickness, and overtime reports
  • Responding to payroll queries and providing support to colleagues
Requirements:
  • At least 5 years of end-to-end payroll processing experience
  • Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and regulations
  • Ability to calculate payroll tax and superannuation
  • Experience with ELMO & NZ Payroll processing is highly desirable
