The kitchen steward role is a vital position within our resort's food and beverage team, ensuring seamless operations throughout the day.
Responsibilities:- Cleaning Equipment and Surfaces: Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cutlery, and large service equipment.
- Sanitation Protocols: Sanitize all surfaces to the highest hygiene standards, operate commercial dishwashers, and handle cleaning chemicals safely.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and clean specialized kitchen equipment to ensure it remains in good working order.
- Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals and maintain an efficient kitchen environment.
- Commercial Kitchen Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-volume commercial kitchen environment.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, as well as workplace safety protocols.
- Adaptability: Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
