The Global Director of Communications will lead our Communications team, responsible for strategy and delivery across earned channels (press) and owned channels (social media and marketing automation).

This role will play a pivotal part in developing and executing our worldwide communication strategies. You will be instrumental in advancing and defining key objectives, including raising awareness about men's health and its positive impact on society.

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  • Developing and implementing our global proactive and reactive communications strategy.
  • Curate and drive our organizational narrative, collaborating with senior stakeholders to develop and deploy messaging and position statements.
  • Developing and overseeing the execution of year-round dynamic press and earned media strategy, as well as plans for owned media.
  • Developing earned and owned media strategies and activations for key campaigns globally.
  • Leading the Communications Team in business partnering to support, build and deliver initiatives, as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Operationalizing and managing our local communications strategies in core markets.
  • Generating organizational impact stories and pitching them to media, talent, influencers, content creators, and our owned channel leads.
  • Building and overseeing the delivery of bespoke thought-leadership communication plans for key senior executives and subject matter experts.
  • Working closely with our advocacy team to identify media and public policy issues where we should have a constructive voice.
  • Coaching and developing senior executives in the shaping and delivery of plans, and media presence and delivery.
  • Coaching and inspiring the team, building and leveraging their skills and experience, through strong leadership, constructive feedback, and open communication.
  • Building out and overseeing the global Communications budget and ensuring it is invested in line with global direction.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Significant senior communications experience, including a blend of advocacy, strategic communications, storytelling, and media relations.
  • Experience in the health sector, translating complex health information into compelling mass communication.
  • Solid experience and time working in the Social Impact space, in addition to Corporate Communications.
  • Demonstrated track record in building and leading a global communications team.
  • Experience working with external agencies, media, and partners to achieve best outcomes.
  • Strong analytical, writing, editing, and verbal skills for communicating with broad and diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong team management experience, acting as a mentor to the team.
  • Ability to work with executive and senior management, excellent negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization.
