Senior Cyber Security Analyst Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Strategist to join our team in Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Adelaide.

This exciting opportunity is part of our Integrated Cyber Risk Management section, where you will play a key role in assessing cyber risks associated with technology components and systems. Your expertise will be crucial in meeting the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) requirements and ensuring the secure authorisation of systems on behalf of our clients.

As a seasoned Cyber Security Analyst, you will possess extensive experience with risk and information security frameworks, policies, and standards. You should be familiar with the Federal Government PSPF, Information Security Manual (ISM), and international standards such as ISO 27001/2.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and assessing security controls in line with the Australian Government PSPF, ISM, and agency policies.
  • Analysing and documenting security risks and recommending treatments and modifications to security practices and procedures.
  • Contributing to system authorisation programs, projects, and strategies by developing or reviewing security artefacts.
  • Managing complex relationships with stakeholders to achieve work area goals.

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A strong background in risk and information security, with demonstrated experience in security threat and risk assessment.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with global cyber security trends, attack vectors, and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience working within complex ICT environments.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or certifications.

This role requires a Negative Vetting Level 1 clearance and Australian citizenship. If you are interested in this position, please ensure you meet these requirements.
