Job Description

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our excavator fleet. This hands-on position requires someone who is passionate about asset condition monitoring, defect prevention, and setting maintenance teams up for success.

You will be responsible for conducting routine inspections of Liebherr excavators, identifying, documenting, and escalating defects with detailed notes and photos. Additionally, you will collaborate with planners to assign appropriate labor, cost-effective parts, and accurate timelines to work orders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting regular inspections of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
  • Identifying and addressing potential defects before they cause downtime or other issues
  • Collaborating with maintenance teams to develop and implement effective maintenance strategies

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A heavy diesel fitter, plant mechanic, or related trade qualification
  • Experience working with Liebherr or other large excavator OEMs in mining environments
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding abilities with a sharp eye for detail
  • Confident communication skills with a focus on safety and teamwork
  • Familiarity with digital maintenance systems
  • A valid Australian manual driver's license (HR license desirable)
