Cognito, a full-service communications agency, is seeking a Sydney-based Senior Account Manager or Account Manager (DOE) to join our APAC team. As one of the few specialist agencies in Australia with a global footprint, you will have the opportunity to work on global accounts alongside our offices in Europe and the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee day-to-day client relationships and provide strategic communication guidance.
  • Maintain consistent communication around KPIs and account plans.
  • Create compelling content, including by-lines, blogs, pitches, and social media posts.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients and journalists.
  • Provide guidance and motivation for client team members to produce high-quality work.
  • Proactively seek success for clients by staying abreast of industry trends.
  • Develop sector expertise to enable smart insights and counsel to clients.
  • Proactively manage and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop managerial and commercial acumen to drive the long-term retention and success of accounts.
  • Work with the senior team to grow existing and win new business.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4-5 years of communications experience, ideally agency side, with experience working with clients in our core sectors.
  • Excellent media contact book in financial services, tech, and fintech.
  • Self-starter with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects at once.
  • A team player with the ability to demonstrate enthusiasm, motivation, and commitment.
  • High level of energy and integrity.
