
Financial Crime and Gaming Assurance Professional

About this role: We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team and develop assurance reviews focused on financial crime and gaming compliance.
This pivotal role is responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of our controls, identifying key issues and risks, and collaborating with our Line 1 teams to plan and execute timely remediation and corrective actions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Subject matter expert in AML/CTF regulations and working knowledge of gaming compliance regulations and related execution risks.
- Conduct Assurance reviews in line with the Risk Assurance Methodology.
- Execute Assurance Plan and compliance test plan to assess the effectiveness of financial crime processes, systems, and controls.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to operational efficiency and continuously evolve best practices.
- Use data analytics to identify actionable insights, resulting in material enhancements to the control environment.
- Support in establishing reporting dashboards to provide informative insights from the reviews conducted and bring forth thematic and/or connected risk patterns across other key areas of assurance reviews.
- Contribute to the establishment of a suite of tools enabling ongoing Design and Operating effectiveness review and reporting, as directed by the Group Manager - Financial Crime and Gaming Compliance Assurance.
- Work with the business to identify appropriate corrective actions to address control gaps and evaluate the process/policy improvements planned, thereby elevating the opportunities to reduce non-compliance incidents.
- Contribute to the design of AML/CTF and Gaming Compliance policies and frameworks that support compliant outcomes, as well as provide input into the successful delivery of Financial Crime and Regulatory transformation initiatives.
Requirements:
- 2+ years working experience of controls testing/reviews in financial crime or gaming compliance risk.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to effectively identify and unpack discrepancies, with a key focus on continuous improvement.
- Industry knowledge including deep understanding of AML/CTF legislation.
- Strategic mindset with strong analytical skills along with the ability to interpret complex data and create detailed process maps.
- Stakeholder management skills to build and foster positive relationships.
- Strong initiative, time management and exceptional communication skills.
