Driver Trainer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Driver Trainer to deliver operational training to our Tow Truck Operators.

About the Role

As a Trainer, you will assist with the daily operational workload, train, upskill, mentor, and guide Tow Truck Operators. With a strong safety focus, you will provide one-on-one training and support, contributing to the improvement and development of our training model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate training packages for new TTOs
  • Retrain and upskill existing TTOs
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices
  • Investigate and resolve complaints and incidents
  • Prepare vehicle damage reports when needed
  • Manage licensing and inductions for trucks and TTOs
  • Liaise with customers where necessary

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in a similar training role
  • A strong grasp of adult learning principles and the ability to tailor training to trainee needs
  • HR or HC licence advantageous but not compulsory (or willing to obtain)
  • Forklift and Elevated Work Platform Licence (or willing to obtain)
  • Experience facilitating one-on-one or group training programs
  • Innovative thinking and ability to problem solve passion
  • Passion for safety
  • Flexible and able to work autonomously
  • Self-motivated to achieve training outcomes
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
