Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented journalist to join our team, driving coverage at the Nine Publishing masthead.

The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism and preferably experience in sub-editing, digital, and social media production.

Responsibilities include producing and publishing news articles, managing the WAtoday homepage, and filing breaking news stories.

A proven track record of developing contacts and working in an online environment is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Produce and publish a variety of content, including news articles and social media posts.
  • Manage the WAtoday homepage, ensuring it is up-to-date and engaging.
  • Respond to breaking news, writing and filing stories quickly and accurately.
  • Write across a range of topics, covering rounds as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Demonstrated newsroom experience as a print or online reporter.
  • Experience in sub-editing stories and digital and social media production.
  • Homepage editing experience.
  • A proven track record of breaking stories and developing contacts.
  • Experience working in an online environment.
