Job Opportunity

A leading media organisation is seeking an experienced producer/reporter to play a key role in maintaining its reputation as one of the state's most-read and trusted news sites.

The ideal candidate will have a background in journalism, preferably with sub-editing, digital and social media production experience, and the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include producing and publishing news articles, social media content, newsletters, and live blogs, managing the homepage, responding to breaking news, writing across a range of topics, and utilising sub-editing and digital production skills to create and refine content.

  • Produce and publish high-quality content for online audiences.
  • Manage the organisation's online presence through homepage editing and management.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with contacts to secure story leads.
Qualifications and Requirements

Applicants must possess:

  • Significant newsroom experience as a print or online reporter.
  • Experience in sub-editing stories and digital/social media production.
  • Homepage editing experience.
  • A proven track record of breaking stories and developing contacts.
