CareSouth Support Worker: Empowering Children's Lives

About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our Intensive Therapeutic Care team. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping children and young people build resilience, navigate complex emotions, and achieve their goals.
You will work closely with clinical and casework staff to provide individualized support and care to each child or young person, focusing on their unique needs and strengths. This may involve developing personalized plans, facilitating educational and recreational activities, and supporting relationships between children, families, and communities.
To be successful in this role, you will require a strong understanding of the complexities of trauma and its impact on children and young people. You must also possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
The ideal candidate will hold a Diploma in Community Services or Disabilities (or be working towards) and have relevant experience working with vulnerable populations. A current Working with Children Check/Working with Vulnerable People card, First Aid Certificate, and Driver's Licence are also essential requirements.
