Job Overview

Community Dietitian and Public Health Nutritionist

This role is a great opportunity to work in a diverse population and provide community education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of adults and paediatrics outpatients in the clinic and outreach to remote communities.
  • Work as part of a transdisciplinary team with other allied health clinicians, including OT, Speech Pathology, Social Work, Physiotherapy, Allied Health Assistant and Team Leader.
  • Travel to remote communities in the Big Rivers region by 4WD or light aircraft, with overnight stays during weekdays.
  • Provide case management and community education.
  • The successful candidate will have current APD status and experience working in community settings.
  • Return travel will be reimbursed and free accommodation provided for locums.
  • The region offers outdoor recreation opportunities, including gorges, waterfalls, camping and hikes.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will be an experienced Community APD Dietitian/Public Health Nutritionist with skills in caseload management, experience working with adults and paediatrics and community education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role.
