Job Overview

Senior investment operations analyst is a multifaceted role combining oversight of regulatory compliance, leadership in operational efficiency and relationship management with boutique firms. Key responsibilities include acting as the escalation point for trade management, fund accounting and client reporting teams, coordinating implementation of operational changes and reviewing due diligence questionnaires.

Additional responsibilities include ensuring timely submission of daily regulatory reports, providing expert advice on complex corporate action accounting and reviewing/approving compliance reporting. The role also involves delivering regular performance reports to senior management and actively contributing to operational improvement projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Degree qualified in accounting, business economics or related field;
  • CA/CPA/CFA (qualified or working towards);
  • Minimum 5 years experience in investment/funds management ideally within middle or back office functions;
  • Strong knowledge of compliance obligations under corporations act and financial services regulation;
  • High-level understanding of portfolio and order management systems such as Bloomberg IRESS/IOS;
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency across broader Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Strong understanding of unit pricing portfolio valuation and trade lifecycle processes;
  • Excellent written verbal communication skills with ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels including external boutiques;
