About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Pathology Specimen Collector to join our team in Collection Centres and Hospitals across the Greater Brisbane Region. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff.
Key Responsibilities- Treat patients with care and compassion, ensuring a positive experience
- Receive urine and faeces samples, maintaining accurate records
- Record patient information, adhering to strict confidentiality protocols
- Complete online training via our eLearning training system, staying up-to-date with industry developments
- Liaise with referrers and ancillary services in other healthcare settings, fostering strong relationships
- Previous experience in customer service, retail, or front-end reception
- Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to service excellence and patient care
- First Aid Certificate and willingness to increase skill base as required
