About the Opportunities
Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology now has an opportunity for a part-time Pathology Specimen Collector to join their Pathology Collection team in Hervey Bay. This position also has the opportunity to go to full-time.
This is a part-time role, working 40 hours per fortnight. The successful candidate must have the flexibility to work various shifts between 6:00 am and 5:30 pm Monday to Friday, and participation in a rotating Saturday roster from 8 am to 11.00 am.
Your primary responsibility will be taking blood samples from patients and maintaining positive relationships with external clients, GPs, and Medical Centre staff.
Some of the more specific responsibilities of the position will be:
- Providing quality care for our patients in hospital;
- Treating our patients with care and compassion;
- Receiving urine and faeces samples;
- Recording patient information;
- Completing online training via our eLearning training system; and
- Liaising with referrers and ancillary services in a hospital setting.
About You
If you love dealing with people and have a background in customer service, retail, front-end reception, or any customer-facing position, this is the role for you
Successful candidates will embark on a comprehensive paid training course during their first twelve months of employment. Upon completion of training, candidates will receive an SNP training certificate.
The successful applicant will have a commitment to service excellence with good interpersonal and liaison skills.
If you do not have a current First Aid Certificate, Sullivan Nicolaides Pathology will assist successful applicants to obtain.
Candidates who have experience working in the health, aged care or community sectors with a natural knack for caring for others will also be regarded highly.
