Delivering exceptional customer service is a key part of our council’s success. We are seeking a Customer Service Officer to join our team, working either full-time or part-time hours as a casual.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience and make a positive impact in their community.

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing quality, accurate, efficient, and effective customer support and assistance as part of the customer care teams within local councils.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering a positive customer experience through face-to-face contact at service locations and at a dedicated call centre via telephone and other electronic media sources.
  • Resolving customer enquiries and complaints.
  • Developing positive and cooperative working relationships with customers and peers.
  • Undertaking administrative responsibilities (including processing payments) to ensure transactions are processed timely and accurately.

Requirements:

  • Experience in providing excellence in customer service in a complex environment (call centre or the like).
  • Experience in range of computer systems.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
  • Valid Police Check.
  • Valid Driver's Licence.
  • Full COVID-19 vaccination.
