We are seeking skilled Timber Mill Operators to join our production team on a Casual basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Play a key part in the production of high-quality timber products, ensuring precision and accuracy throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Operate complex machinery, including circular and band saws, automatic stacking equipment, gas fired kilns, moulders & robotic packaging lines, requiring strong technical skills and manual dexterity.
  • Assist with grading products, identifying defects and accurately sawing and measuring to meet industry standards.
  • Moving, sorting and strapping timber to process for shipping and delivery, demonstrating attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Perform general labouring and timber mill duties, maintaining a clean and safe working environment through regular cleaning and maintenance.
  • Manage inventory effectively to ensure a smooth production line, utilizing knowledge of stock control and logistics.
  • Maintain a constant focus on health & safety across all areas of our site, adhering to regulatory requirements and promoting a culture of wellness.
To Be Successful In This Role You Will Have:
  • Previous experience in machine operating, labouring, manual handling or in a production environment, with a proven track record of productivity and quality.
  • A positive attitude at work, being reliable and punctual while also displaying adaptability and flexibility in response to changing circumstances.
  • A strong commitment to safety, with a clear understanding of risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of the timber industry is beneficial, but not essential.
  • The ability to work effectively within a team environment, communicating clearly and contributing to the achievement of shared goals.
