Recreation Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced Recreation Coordinator to coordinate and develop a recreation program that meets the individual leisure needs of each client.

The Recreation Coordinator will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating and developing a recreation program that maximizes client recreational independence.
  • Supervising and supporting other members of the recreation team regarding program structure and development.
  • Encouraging clients to maintain community associations and contacts.
  • Maintaining accurate and relevant documentation.
  • Promoting recreational opportunities within the broader community.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience in the social sector or a degree qualification in Leisure and Lifestyle, Psychology, Community Development, Education, or a similar discipline.
  • A current driver's license (mandatory).
  • First Aid and CPR certificates will be looked upon favourably.
  • Experience working with older people.
  • Knowledge of local area services and community groups.
