Compliance Manager Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Compliance Manager to lead the effective day-to-day operation of our Compliance Management Programme in A/NZ. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in regulatory compliance, risk management, and team leadership.

Job Description

The Compliance Manager's primary responsibility will be to advise the business on reporting, investigation, and remediation of identified compliance risks and issues. This includes supporting internal stakeholders on risk acceptance, leading the practical implementation of new or updated policies and standards, and collaborating with the Compliance team on Third Party Risk Management and Client Due Diligence activities.

In addition, the Compliance Manager will work closely with the Head of Compliance & Privacy A/NZ and Legal colleagues to provide expert advice on regulatory engagement matters. They will also support the business in understanding, implementing, and meeting regulatory obligations related to data privacy, financial services regulation, and corporate ethics regulation.

  • Teamwork and an ability to collaborate with others, share knowledge and experience, and support colleagues in the pursuit of team goals;
  • The ability to think commercially, taking full account of business goals and priorities when providing advice and recommending action;
  • Willingness and enthusiasm to take a hands-on approach where needed;
  • A good working knowledge of Australian and/or New Zealand Privacy regulation;
