
Speech and Language Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Speech Pathologist to join our Early Childhood Approach team.
You will be working with young children aged 0-6 years who have developmental delays or disabilities. Your role will involve providing direct Speech Pathology services in both individual and group settings, collaborating with families and trans-disciplinary teams to implement individualised intervention plans, and supporting families, educators, and professionals in creating inclusive environments.
The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and registration with Speech Pathology Australia. They will also have experience working with young children with developmental delays or disability and their families, as well as knowledge of early childhood intervention principles and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform functional assessments for young children to determine appropriate supports
- Collaborate with families and trans-disciplinary teams to implement individualised intervention plans
- Provide direct Speech Pathology services in both individual and group settings
- Support families, educators, and professionals in creating inclusive environments and staying updated on best practices
- Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology (essential)
- Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (essential)
- Experience working with young children with developmental delays or disability and their families
- Openness to work in an innovative, dynamic and relationally informed early intervention model
- Knowledge of early childhood intervention principles and best practice
- Current drivers' license, willingness/ability to travel to clients (pool cars provided)
