Community Engagement Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled Community Engagement Coordinator to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the events and sister cities section, you will play a crucial role in planning and delivering high-quality events that showcase our commitment to community engagement.

Your primary responsibilities will include coordinating the delivery of the annual events calendar, managing bookings for the precinct, and facilitating the operations of The Colebee Function Centre at Nurragingy Reserve. You will also be responsible for producing a calendar of events aligned with our vision and advising on best practices for event development and delivery.

In addition to your primary role, you will serve as Master of Ceremonies at events, attend meetings with senior officials, conduct school talks, and work variable after-hours shifts on weekdays and weekends. If successful, you should have strong knowledge of website publishing, digital communications, and event software programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and coordinate the events team to deliver high-quality events and functions throughout the year.
  • Manage bookings for the precinct and facilitate the operations of The Colebee Function Centre.
  • Produce a calendar of events strategically aligned with our vision and advise on best practices for event development and delivery.
  • Network with internal and external stakeholders and provide strategic advice on relevant policies and procedures.
  • Serve as Master of Ceremonies at events, attend meetings, conduct school talks, and work variable after-hours shifts.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree qualification in event management or a related field.
  • Solid demonstrated experience delivering high-quality events designed for community engagement.
  • Demonstrated project management skills utilised in the delivery of large-scale community events and festivals.
  • Extensive experience in leading, motivating, and developing an events team.
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current class C driver's licence.
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service.
