The Digital Archivist will be responsible for developing digital preservation practices and workflows, preparing digital materials for ingest to a preservation workflow, and providing format guidance and support. This role will also involve managing format tools and documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop digital preservation practices and workflows
- Prepare digital materials for ingest to a preservation workflow
- Provide format guidance and support
- Manage format tools and documentation
The successful candidate will have a wide-ranging technical skillset that includes knowledge and/or experience in understanding the risks and vulnerabilities of data and digital technologies, conceptual understanding and knowledge of key challenges of digital preservation, strong knowledge of digital formats and metadata, and willingness to engage with a range of stakeholders and work as part of a team to achieve common goals.
