The Sanjiv Ridge Mine is seeking a Senior Mine Engineer to lead their technical team on an 8/6 days only roster.

About the Role
  • Oversee the technical aspects of drill and blast operations and prepare robust short-term plans that align with the company's medium-term plan directions.
  • Lead a small team of mine engineers overseeing multiple contract mining sites in the Pilbara region.

This opportunity is suitable for individuals with extensive experience as a mine engineer, relevant academic qualifications in mine engineering, and quarry manager certification. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, demonstrated knowledge of mine planning cycles, and practical skills in drill and blast design, pit optimisation, and infrastructure design.

The successful applicant will be responsible for defining actions to recover variances from plan, reconciling daily performance of drill and blast, load and haul, and crushing activities, and optimising pit designs, dump designs, stockpile designs, and haul paths according to the short-term plan and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement effective short-term plans to meet the company's objectives.
  2. Lead a team of mine engineers to ensure efficient and safe operations at multiple contract mining sites.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience as a mine engineer.
  • Relevant academic qualification in mine engineering.
  • Quarry manager certification.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mine planning cycles.
  • Practical skills in drill and blast design, pit optimisation, and infrastructure design.
