Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in Canberra, AU. The ideal candidate will have strong initiative, adaptability, and analytical skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and manage competing priorities.

The role is responsible for developing and providing strategic advice on complex matters, including facilitating linkages across government priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and coordinating Ministerial submissions, briefs, and responses to correspondence
  • Coordinating and supporting the delivery of Budget publications, including Portfolio Budget Statements and Additional Estimates Statements
  • Assisting with ad hoc queries and briefing requests from Ministers' Offices and central agencies
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, portfolio entities, and key Commonwealth agencies

  • Strong initiative and ability to contribute to the team and work collaboratively
  • Ability to adapt and work flexibly to respond to and achieve results within short timeframes
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including research and investigation
  • Sound verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and supervise junior staff
