We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our team at Y Schools Queensland - Senior Redlands Campus. As a Teacher, you will play a critical role in supporting our young people to achieve their educational goals and make a positive impact on their lives.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a relevant University degree, current Queensland College of Teachers Registration, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Qualifications. They will also have experience in Science and HPE teaching, as well as the ability to apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs, and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver academic and wellbeing programs to students in Science and HPE, open to all subjects
  • Support the delivery of vocational training programs offered to students
  • Support the Head of Campus/School in the operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing, and vocational objectives
  • Create a nurturing and supportive learning environment which is learner-focused, safe, supportive, and aligned to the curriculum
  • Collaborate with like-minded peers to plan, write, and deliver structured lessons that differentiate and personalise the learning for each student
  • Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning
  • Support our incredible young people with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low levels of literacy/numeracy, and mental illness
