As an Employment Tax Consultant, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality employment tax compliance, income tax consulting, and/or employment tax consulting services to clients across various industries with complex tax issues. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with clients to understand their tax needs and provide expert advice on employment tax matters, utilizing technology and big data to assist clients on employment tax compliance and draw insights. In addition, you will collaborate with other members of our team to deliver high-quality services to clients.

About this role
  • This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
  • You will work closely with clients to understand their tax needs and provide expert advice on employment tax matters.

Responsibilities
  • Research and provide written advice to clients on all aspects of employment taxes, including Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Payroll Taxes, PAYG Withholding, Superannuation Guarantee, and Salary Packaging.
  • Utilize technology and big data to assist clients on employment tax compliance and draw insights.
  • Review and prepare annual FBT returns, payroll tax returns, and superannuation guarantee calculations.
  • Provide specialist employment tax advice, in conjunction with other parts of our business.
  • Prepare and present training seminars to both clients and team members.

Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in employment tax, responsible for delivering employment tax compliance, income tax consulting, and/or employment tax consulting services to large multinational organisations.
  • A desire to work as part of a national team, collaborating to support clients across various industries with complex tax issues.
  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Confidence in handling data, with proven analytical skills.
