Thumbnail Designer Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Thumbnail Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation of visually appealing thumbnails for our YouTube videos.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual design principles, including composition and color theory. They will be able to conceptualize and create engaging thumbnail designs that effectively convey the content and message of the video.

Responsibilities and Skills
  • Thumbnail Conceptualization: Collaborate with content creators to develop creative concepts for thumbnails that meet the brand's style and aesthetic.
  • Visual Design: Utilize graphic design software to create visually engaging thumbnails optimized for various devices and screen sizes.
  • Image Selection and Enhancement: Select compelling images from video footage or photoshoots and enhance them as needed to create eye-catching thumbnails.
  • Text Integration: Incorporate legible text elements such as titles, captions, and call-to-action phrases into thumbnail designs.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure consistency with the brand's branding guidelines, including color schemes, fonts, and logo placement, to maintain brand identity.
  • Trend Awareness: Stay up to date with current trends and best practices in thumbnail design and YouTube optimization.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1-2+ years of experience creating thumbnails using Photoshop.
  • Evidence of previous high-quality Minecraft builds and designs.
  • Strong understanding of visual design principles, including composition and color theory.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with content creators and other designers to achieve common goals.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
