About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Community Care Specialist. As a key member of our KinCare team, you will play a vital role in providing essential care to our elderly customers across the ACT, delivering a range of clinical support services in the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality clinical support services, including wound care, medication administration, stoma and bowel care, and catheter management.
  • Conduct nursing, continence, and dementia screening assessments, and support care plans tailored to each customer's individual needs.
  • Work closely with families, General Practitioners, and the KinCare team to ensure a holistic approach to our customers' well-being, addressing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per fortnight, Monday to Friday, with flexibility to work between 7am - 3pm.

About You:

  • Full AHPRA registration.
  • First Aid and CPR certification (or willing to obtain).
  • Driver's licence with a reliable and insured vehicle.
  • Genuine interest in working in the community and with the elderly.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Compassionate, professional, kind, engaging, empathetic, and helpful.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Double COVID vaccinated and willing to undergo a functional assessment.
