A dynamic Legal Assistant is sought to support our Public Liability team in Melbourne. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced lawyers on a variety of matters, contributing to outstanding client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Support solicitors with day-to-day file management and client interactions across public liability cases.
- Prepare matters for conferences and hearings, including court documents and correspondence.
- Draft claim forms, schedules of damages, and other documents with attention to detail.
- Coordinate medico-legal appointments, conferences, and mediations.
- Develop strong relationships with clients, colleagues, counsel, and external stakeholders.
- Assist the legal team in optimizing internal systems for information management.
Requirements
- Prior experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal in personal injury matters is highly valued.
- Accurate typing skills and intermediate proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail in document management and file preparation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of providing exceptional client support.
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 38 hours per week; flexible hours considered.
