Mental Health Nurse Role

Contribute to positive health outcomes for Defence Force staff as a Mental Health Registered Nurse.

About the Position:
  • Undertake intake assessments and risk evaluations.
  • Provide crisis intervention and formulate treatment plans.
  • Deliver programmatic interventions and assist with medication management.
  • Lead group psycho-education sessions and coordinate care planning.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Hold current unconditional registration as a Registered Nurse in Australia with AHPRA.
  • Be credentialed with ACMHN or possess minimum qualification of Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing; OR have mental health training and experience.
  • Have at least 2 years post-registration experience within the last 5 years in mental health, either full-time or part-time equivalent, in a primary healthcare setting or specialist mental health environment.
