Job Opportunity: Ground Support Offsider

The role of a Ground Support Offsider is to assist the Site Supervisor / Leading Hand with duties as they arise. This position contributes to the overall safety and efficiency of operations by providing essential assistance to ground support technicians and engineers.

The primary purpose of this position is to perform general site labouring duties, secure work areas, and protect personnel from potential hazards.

Key responsibilities include installation of cable bolts, ground support mesh and accessories, mixing grout to specification, shotcreting, implementing testing where required/requested, operating equipment such as telehandler, light vehicle and service trucks, maintaining all equipment used in day-to-day work, and general open pit mine works.

Requirements
  • Elevated Work Platform Ticket
  • Working at Heights Ticket
  • Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
  • Ability to perform labouring duties
  • Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on teamwork
  • A positive attitude towards safety, training & environment
  • Pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol assessment
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance

Experience in the mining industry and rigging or dogman tickets are highly desirable.
