Job Summary

We are seeking a professional to join our team as a Guest Services Department Host. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional service to guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests upon arrival and ensure they have a pleasant dining experience
  • Manage table assignments and seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction
  • Respond to guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly
  • Assist with taking reservations and handling phone calls
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and make recommendations to guests

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in guest services within the restaurant, hotel or tourism industry
  • Experience in function booking and coordination
  • Previous experience in an A La Carte environment an advantage
  • Cash handling experience and financial reconciliation
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  • SevenRooms experience an advantage
  • Guest recognition
  • Current RSA certificate
  • Impeccable presentation, hygiene and grooming standards
  • Sound written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills essential
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexible availability over a 7-day rotating roster
