Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Contact Centre Operator to join our team.

This role involves supporting the agency's outcomes by providing specialist communications advice and services, stakeholder engagement and education, and managing internal and external communications channels.

Responsibilities
  • Understand relevant legislation and policy frameworks and draft replies to straightforward enquiries.
  • Capture and record client interactions to support programs and project goals.
  • Provide advice and education to clients and internal stakeholders in line with legislation and policy.
  • Have accountability for the completion of allocated tasks and review of work for peers.
Requirements
  • Experience working in a public sector office environment, particularly in processing and general administration areas, plus dealing with high volume telephone enquiries.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information and legislation to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a changing environment.
  • Strong time management skills including the ability to deal with short timeframes and periods of peak demand.
Benefits

This role offers a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. You will be based in Canberra and receive a competitive hourly rate plus superannuation.
