Communication Officer
A 12-month contract with the possibility of extension, or a S26 transfer opportunity, awaits an experienced Communication Specialist in our Canberra office.
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Communication Officer to oversee the development of high-quality communications products.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain successful relationships with policy and program areas, anticipating and assessing their strategic communication needs.
- Coordinate, draft, and publish website content for the department.
- Work effectively as part of a team to deliver results and manage personal workloads with minimal supervision.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A degree or diploma with a major in journalism, communications, public relations, or marketing is highly desirable.
- Experience in delivering strategic communication, marketing, or advertising in government or private sectors is highly desirable.
- Develop stakeholder relationships.
- Analyse client needs and adapt appropriate communication solutions within budget and relevant to the target audience.
- Research and make decisions based on sound judgement, expertise, and knowledge.
- Manage multiple deadlines and show attention to detail and quality.
