Multidisciplinary Project Manager

Design and Build is recruiting an experienced Project Engineer to lead the planning, coordination, and execution of a multistorey residential new build project on the Gold Coast. You should have previous experience working on similar projects in excess of $100m.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing all aspects of the project, including collaborating with the project management team, developing and implementing project plans, managing and coordinating engineering activities, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
This is a 2-tower development which is currently in the early stages of excavation. The project is due to go on for a couple of years with future projects in the pipeline.
- Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Develop and implement project plans, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage and coordinate all engineering activities, including design, construction, and quality assurance.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct regular site walks to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and ensure adherence to project specifications.
- Work with other engineers to ensure the successful completion of the project.
- Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve any project-related challenges.
- A degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in project engineering within the construction industry, preferably with exposure to large-scale industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, engineering principles, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in project management software and other relevant tools.
