Meat Wrapper Role

The ideal candidate will be part of a dynamic team in a fast-paced environment, working on a rotating roster that includes weekend shifts and early starts from 5am.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by ensuring prompt and courteous interactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace by inspecting and reassembling equipment sanitised the previous night, reworking display cases, and rotating product.
  • Unload large trays of packaged meat from wheeled racks and place individual packages into the automatic wrapping machine while following safety and security procedures.
  • Configure the labeler according to product type and price, print and apply labels to the product, and ensure accuracy.
  • Load wrapped and labelled meat onto large trays and stock it in display cases by reaching through sliding windows or moving racks to the floor.
  • Operate the meat mincer, feed meat into the top of the machine, and check the fat content of each batch from the grinder while maintaining proper department production procedures and standards for quality and consistency.
  • Clean and sanitise the work area throughout the day, adhering to health regulations such as sanitation standards and maintaining proper temperatures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks for machinery, equipment, and implements.
  • Support with monthly stocktake (inventory) and provide support as needed.
Additional Tasks:
  • Assist with front-end duties when required.
  • Support other departments within the warehouse as necessary.

This role requires individuals who can work well under pressure, maintain high levels of productivity, and adhere to strict health and safety protocols.
