About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced English Teacher to join our team at Shire Christian School. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging and effective English programs for students from Prep to Year 12.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality English lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and spiritual growth.
  • Assess and provide constructive feedback to students, identifying areas of strength and weakness to inform instruction.
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in English education, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance student learning.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians, keeping them informed of student progress and achievements.
  • Embed a Christian perspective into the English curriculum, promoting values of compassion, respect, and integrity.
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement, sharing expertise and best practices with colleagues to enhance teaching and learning.
Requirements
  • Relevant teaching qualifications and experience in English education.
  • Strong subject matter expertise and knowledge of curriculum frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
  • A commitment to Christian values and a willingness to integrate these into the English curriculum.
  • A passion for teaching and learning, with a growth mindset and a desire to continuously improve practice.
