As a Fiber Splicer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity of our telecommunications network. You will be responsible for preparing and splicing fiber optic cable within a telecommunications system.

Responsibilities:

  • Proper preparation and splicing of fiber optic cable
  • Working with telecommunications network structure and equipment
  • Operating OTDR and fusion splicing equipment
  • Reading and interpreting fiber matrices and data
  • Troubleshooting problems and identifying solutions

Requirements:

  • Good working knowledge of telecommunications network structure
  • Familiarity with fiber optic cable, splice enclosures, and their functionality
  • Ability to use technical equipment, including computers and hand tools
  • Excellent manual dexterity and ability to work safely
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data with high accuracy and completeness
