Job Overview

This is a full-time 12-month maternity leave contract opportunity based in Adelaide, South Australia. As a key member of our People & Performance team, you will provide generalist human resources guidance and support the delivery of our People Plan.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the Director of People & Performance to develop and implement HR strategies
  • Providing first-line management support, delivering efficient and effective HR services, including industrial relations, training and development, equal opportunity, and workplace health and safety (WHS)
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, Collective Agreements, and Awards, ensuring compliance and timely reporting

You will also be responsible for preparing and managing secure personnel records, maintaining accuracy in all HR-related data, and facilitating clear communication among management, staff, and external parties as required.

Key Responsibilities

In addition to the above, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in policy development, implementation, and monitoring to align with our strategic objectives
  • Developing and maintaining the Zoos SA collective agreement, remuneration strategies, salaried contracts, and associated negotiations
  • Providing first-line management with the efficient and effective HR services, including industrial relations, training and development, equal opportunity, and WHS
  • Supporting the preparation of statistical analysis and reports for HR functions
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated capacity to effectively communicate, including discretion and confidentiality
  • Demonstrated competence in conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret legal documents and data
  • Highly developed organisational and administrative skills
  • Well-developed computer literacy skills within the Microsoft Office environment
Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is between $90,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
