
Principal Educator

The Principal Educator is a highly skilled classroom practitioner who undertakes leadership and management roles commensurate with their salary range.
This role involves improving the skill, knowledge, and performance of the teaching workforce in a school or group of schools and enhancing the curriculum program of a school.
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating staff to achieve improvements in teaching and learning which may involve modelling, collaborating, and coaching colleagues, as well as developing knowledge, practice, and professional engagement in others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the implementation of whole-school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and priorities.
- Develop and implement whole-school improvement strategies related to curriculum planning and delivery.
- Provide professional development and create individual and team development plans for teaching staff within the priorities of the school.
- Manage staff performance and development, including reviewing staff progress.
- Design and deliver teaching demonstration lessons.
- Develop and manage the school's assessment and reporting policies and practices.
- Implement the school's operations and policies related to student welfare and discipline.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum in major learning areas and participate in curriculum development in other areas.
- Manage general discipline matters beyond the management of classroom teachers.
- Contribute to the overall leadership and management of the school.
- Develop proposals for school council consideration.
- Develop and manage the school code of conduct.
