Art Education Specialist

The role of an Art Teacher is to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and imagination in students.

This involves developing and implementing high-impact teaching strategies that cater to diverse student needs, as well as evaluating the effectiveness of these strategies on student learning growth.

Key responsibilities include:

• Direct instruction of groups and individual students;
• Contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of a curriculum area or program within the school;
• Performing other classroom-related duties as assigned by the School Principal;

This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish and maintain collaborative relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and the broader school community to support student agency, wellbeing, and engagement.

It is expected that the successful candidate will demonstrate Department values and a commitment to continually improving teaching quality through reflection and professional learning.

Responsibilities: 

• Plan and implement engaging lessons for diverse student groups;
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective curriculum programs;
• Monitor and assess student learning progress and inform teaching practice accordingly;
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to promote student success and wellbeing;

• Experience in classroom teaching with a focus on creative subjects;
