Overview

The Senior Data Scientist will be part of a highly skilled data science team, working closely with software engineers, auditors, product managers, and customer experience managers to analyze healthcare data and deliver value to our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build data science models and product features to achieve business goals.
  • Translate business requirements from internal and external stakeholders into data products and features.
  • Apply state-of-the-art AI and machine learning techniques to resolve analytical problems.
  • Collaborate with engineers to productionize models.
  • Work with team members to build integrated analytic solutions, including data pipelines, modeling, and dashboards.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in data and analytics for client engagements, helping customers get increased value from our products.
  • Work with subject matter experts to validate analytical insights and findings.
  • Analyze and present actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.
  • Generate reports and dashboards to communicate key insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop proof of concepts and working demos.
  • Mentor junior data scientists and delegate tasks.

Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in data science, mathematics, statistics, physics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in a commercial advanced analytics environment.
  • Solid skills in building statistical and data science models.
  • Ability to create or modify existing AI and ML techniques to suit business needs.
  • Hands-on experience in Python.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desired Skills

  • Experience in the healthcare industry is highly regarded.
  • GenAI LLM.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) applications, including QuickSight, S3, Sagemaker, and HealthLake.
  • Experience with agile software development.
