Machine Technician Job Opportunity

At our organization, we are looking for a skilled Machine Technician to join our team.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced technician with a strong background in mechanical systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of troubleshooting and repairing complex machinery, as well as experience working with electrical and hydraulic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to the engineering department for compliance verification, testing, and development work on elevating work platforms.
  • Develop, fabricate, install, and document local modifications and tooling for elevating work platforms.
  • Investigate, record, report, and suggest new methods of completing jobs to improve efficiency and reliability of components.
  • Use hazard identification tools and systems to ensure safe work practices are used and work areas are hazard-free.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Our ideal candidate will possess a Mechanical Trade Qualification, a current Driver's License, a Forklift license, and a High risk work license (desirable). They will also have service experience on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as knowledge of elevating work platforms or mobile equipment.

Preferred Experience:

  • Service experience on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Knowledge of elevating work platforms or mobile equipment.
  • Welding and light fabrication skills.

Essential Skills:

  • Troubleshooting and repair work on machinery.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with team members.
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Computer system knowledge.
