Maintenance Operations Manager

The role of Maintenance Operations Manager is pivotal in ensuring high equipment reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency at our Dongara site.

You will lead the mechanical, electrical, and contractor maintenance teams, overseeing maintenance across the kiln, mining areas, and site facilities. This involves planning and coordinating preventative maintenance, shutdowns, and emergency works while driving continuous improvement, managing contractors, and leading a strong safety culture.

• Lead maintenance activities across kiln, mining, and site facilities to ensure high equipment reliability.
• Supervise mechanical, electrical, and contractor teams to achieve operational efficiency.
• Manage preventative and unplanned maintenance, shutdowns, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Ensure safety standards are met by maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Drive continuous improvement and team development through effective leadership.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• Mechanical trade background with at least 5 years' experience in heavy industry or mining.
• Proven leadership experience in a 24/7 manufacturing or processing environment.
• Certificate IV in Leadership or equivalent (highly regarded).
• Statutory Supervisor Certificate of Competency.
• Knowledge of risk management, regulatory compliance, and asset maintenance strategies.
• Strong SAP and Microsoft Office skills.
• Ability to manage contractors, budgets, and planning systems effectively.
• Excellent communication, decision-making, and team development skills.
