Graduate Environmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven graduate to join our team in the Environment, Heritage and Resilience Department.

This 12-month immersive program is designed to equip you with the knowledge, skills and hands-on experience to excel in your chosen career.

You will work alongside industry leaders on a range of projects and initiatives that help shape and connect our community. Through our tailored development program, valuable industry connections and the support of our Graduate Academy community, you will build the skills, networks and confidence to create the career you want.

As a graduate, you will gain hands-on experience across operations, contributing to planning and implementation of our waste management strategies, working at landfill sites, waste collections and infrastructure projects.

  • You will contribute to projects focused on maximising resource recovery from waste and promoting sustainable practices.
  • You will provide support for various waste management projects in the planning and delivery phase, including report writing, research, and stakeholder engagement.
  • You will assist with data collection related to waste generation, recycling rates and other relevant metrics.

To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a recognised bachelor's degree or postgraduate qualification from a tertiary institution, completed within the last two years or be completing prior to the commencement of the program.

The ideal candidate will have studied Bachelor of Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Business; and related fields.
