This exciting opportunity presents a unique chance to drive efficient procurement practices across the University, with a key focus on developing and maintaining effective systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive procurement strategies aligned with policy and financial best practice;
  • Administer operational procurement functions to ensure integrity, efficiency, and compliance within relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines;
  • Provide expert guidance and support across the university community on procurement-related matters, including training and development initiatives.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate diploma or degree in a related field, combined with significant work experience in procurement and financial operations;
  • Proven expertise in providing accurate advice and guidance on procurement procedures and financial operations in medium-sized organizations;
  • Strong understanding of State Purchasing Policy and ability to apply it effectively;
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and reviewing procurement systems, policies, and procedures;
  • Highly developed skills in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities;
  • Relevant experience in the higher education sector, with knowledge of local government legislative, tendering, and procurement practices;
  • Membership of relevant industry bodies, such as CIPS or CPA;
  • Previous experience with Technology One CiA and development/maintenance of webpages.
About the Opportunity

The successful candidate will be based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, and will have opportunities to work at UniSC campuses. This is a contract position (full-time, 36.25 hours per week), fixed-term until December 2026 (parental leave backfill).
